Ruslan Vashkevich

Ruslan Vashkevich is considered to be a crown jewel of the contemporary Belarusian art scene. He is not afraid of experiments, plays with images and reality without restraint, stimulates imagination, provokes the audience and invites it to discussions. Ruslan was once called a "Belarusian Quentin Tarantino" for his challenging, smart and sarcastic manner of painting.

Artist has no right to stand with both feet solid on the ground - this is inconvenient pose for the flight. Much better position is when you are in the corner against the entire world", Ruslan Vashkevich used to mention.

Ruslan Vashkevich participated in numerous solo and group exhibitions and art shows, including 51st International Art Biennale in Venice in 2005.
